Hello, I’m Zoë! I’m a Health Coach, food lover, herbalist, amateur yogi, gardener, dancer, and all-around wellness warrior. I am passionate about living life to my fullest potential and helping you to do the same!
My interest in health and wellness has been a constant throughout my life. It started in my hippy-dippy childhood in Vermont and evolved in my adulthood as I took on the challenge of healing my vulnerable digestive system. For years I often felt nauseated, was dizzy and ‘off’, and had a hard time truly digesting and assimilating food. I was drawn to alternative therapies as I began to look for answers and instantly clicked with the idea of taking responsibility for my own health and wellness.
Many different holistic approaches helped me to manage my symptoms, but it wasn’t until I really got clear about my diet that lasting healing took place. Food changed the way I felt in my body. When I focused my diet on whole foods, with an emphasis on lots of plants and daily probiotic-rich fermented food, my digestive troubles began to disappear.
Taking ownership of my diet and learning to feel empowered about my health also launched me on a journey of introspection, self-discovery, and emotional healing. I believe that our physical and emotional bodies are completely interconnected. By healing one, you create the possibility of healing the other. By healing both, you’ll gain the freedom to live the vibrant, joyful life you were put on this earth to live.
My personal healing transformed my life, and set me on a new path of helping others to do the same. I received my training as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), where I studied a range of dietary theories, lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods from some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many others.
When I’m not writing, teaching, or working with clients, I enjoy life in Boston with my husband and our puppy, Plum. I fill my days with good food, fabulous people, and fresh air.
So now you know a bit about me, but I’m dying to hear your story! Please connect with me and let me know where you are on your journey towards health and wellness. Or learn more about how to work with me to begin your own wellness transformation.
