My path to creating One Beet Wellness is deeply personal.  I spent much of my teens and twenties battling digestive illness and coping with sometimes overwhelming stress and anxiety.  This is the story of so many of us.  A few biological triggers get out of whack internally, and it sets of a cascade of symptoms in the mind and body.

Fortunately, I had a deep belief that I didn’t have to feel this way.  After striking out with traditional medicine, I began looking for natural alternatives that restored my personal power and worked to heal my body gently and effectively.  I tried everything I could find!  And through the process, I not only healed my body, but also learned that I had a deep passion for this work.

As I continued on my path to heal myself, it also became clear that I had a natural calling to do this work with others.  I finally took the leap in 2013 and left the corporate world to pursue this new path.  I received my training as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), where I studied a range of dietary theories, lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods from some of the world’s top health and wellness experts.  I also received my Medicinal Herbalist training through Thyme Herbalwhere I learned to use the ancient healing traditions of medicinal herbs to compliment my work with food and lifestyle.

One Beet Wellness was born in 2014 and has been steadily expanding ever since!  When I’m not working with clients, writing, or teaching, I enjoy life in Boston with my husband, daughter, and pup.  I fill my days with good food, meaningful work, magical herbs, and fresh air.
