I am excited
to launch a new series on One Beet – Beetroots!
Beetroots are
designed to address general topics of nutrition and wellness, instead of my
usual focus on recipes. There will still be plenty of
recipes on the blog, but with Beetroot posts sprinkled in as well.
Each post
will discuss a particular issue, like the controversy surrounding genetically
modified foods, or the importance of phytonutrients. I’ll share my
perspective on the topic and offer action steps to incorporate changes related
to the content into your daily life. As
I’ve said before, I’m not a doctor or formally trained nutritionist, so
please take my advice as suggestions instead of medical directions (like that liability coverage in case you OD on carrots!?).
I have a long
list of topics I’d like to share, but I’m most interested to hear what issues
you’re curious about. Please leave a
comment on this post or send me an email with any questions or subjects you are
interested in knowing more about. I’ll
do my best to get to all of them!
The first
Beetroot is focused on the importance of eating organic food. Get ready!

Some recent research no longer supports the use of Omega 3 Fish Oil supplements. What do you think about this issue? Should we continue to take this supplement or should we stop? Thanks for your input.
